Why Adventure Activities UK for Kayaking:
There are very few outdoor centres in the UK that have kayaking staff that have not been trained by one of the Adventure Activities UK team.
One of the team, Howard who works with us part time, has been involved in the development of the BCU sea kayaking awards for over 25 years. He has trained and assessed many of the top sea kayak coaches operating in the UK.
Owen has led the development of the use of Sit-on-Top kayaks across the UK for a long time. Its no exaggeration to say that the team are the UK leaders and specialists in the use of SOT kayaks in the coastal environment. Owen is the chair of the ‘British Canoe Union’ technical committee that advises the canoeing governing body on the use and development of Sit-on-Top kayaks.
We are the only provider of the WSA (Water Skills Academy) SOT Kayak Coastal Leader Award in the South, in fact one of our team developed the award, wrote the syllabus and is the award’s assessor trainer, responsible for training other deliverers.
Our strategies, safety advice and leadership methods have guided how the other providers in UK operate on the Sea in Sit-on-Top kayaks.
Why Adventure Activities UK for Paddleboarding:
Adventure Activities UK is one of the few WSA (Water Skills Academy) approved centres in the South and the only Instructor training centre.
